Well my Biking has been some what sort yet eventful. Starting 5 years ago i bought magazines every week/month and quickly realised what i wanted to do with my life.
Motorbikes, the time came when i turned 16, took my CBT as you do. Bought myself My first and last 50cc
Okay some may not agree with me when i say the RS50 is a real bike.
For me it was my everything, with the help of Patrick from PM Motorcycles we soon had the bike in a reliable condition. My first lesson in biking. . . the garage is your new home.
I rode my motorbike everyday from march till october the 21st, covering 20k. I must say i did love that bike, like an addiction!
I must add i was never the little scallie who wore jeans and a hoody with a five pund helmet! I had the kit, Luckily. As i always said 60mph is 60mph at the end of the day, turns out when a car does an illegal u turn out of a line of traffic you need all the protection you can get.
Briefly ending my biking days, and nearly my life 'cheers middlesbourgh air ambulance'.
Any way the insurance should be good for a nice 1098R for after the two years on my CBR600 oh march here we come. ( luckily i can do my restricted acsess before the changes come on the 30th of march ).
And By attending the ACU meeting on the 31st of This month, i can be back riding soon. Really my motorbikes are my life and racing would be fantastic.
I may have had a brief period on my little motorbike but 20,000 kilometers in 8 months has to be a fair bit of experiance for a 16 year old, not short trips either, because of Patrick my good friend and mechanic, the bike did trips of 50 miles everyday and trips to the lakes, to tan hill inn (twisties round reeth and richmond it has to be said are beautiful) and over to the isle of man in AUGUST. You do learn to make the best of corner speed and many other aspects of riding with power lacking.
Ive not only experianced the slow and steady, but before the Crash i also rode my CBR600 for a week, as you can imagine from being a deamon rider on such a little bike, i was knocked back by the power of the 600, this week also showed me some lessons in riding, that police dont bother you if your wearing the kit and look safe, weather it be at 70 or 150 ( the most vital lesson i learnt was when traveling at such speeds pre empting actions of other drivers is vital looking 1 mile ahead and keeping a check on traffic is vital and fantastic) i had insuance dont worry strange how i can get insured on a 600 with no questions asked.
Any way i'd love to race this year. Unfortunatly it looks like because of the accident and the lack of work meaning drains on funds i wont be able to race. Still i look forward to getting to know everyone who takes part etc. . .
See you at the ACU meeting and Probly Croft!
